Job Description:
A company is looking for a part-time Senior Traffic Engineer for
ongoing work in the Chicagoland area.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field reviews and inspections of traffic signals and
optimize signal performance
Manage traffic data collection and analysis, including developing
and monitoring traffic-responsive plans
Produce task orders, cost estimates, and collaborate with clients
and project teams on signal coordination projects
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of related experience in traffic signal
evaluation and maintenance
Valid and current Illinois PE license
Working knowledge of FHWA MUTCD, IDOT regulations, and signal
modeling software
Experience configuring and programming traffic signals and
controllers
Strong project management experience, including supervising junior
staff
